1. Acceptance
By using Bugdle, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. These terms may be updated; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
2. The service
Bugdle is a free daily code-review puzzle game. We do not require an account or sign-up. The puzzle catalog and game engine are provided "as is," with no guarantees of availability, correctness, or fitness for any particular purpose.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site or its hosting infrastructure.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or piece of data.
- Submit content via any feedback channel that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringing on someone else's rights.
- Use automated scrapers or bots to harvest puzzle content for commercial redistribution. Educational quoting and personal archiving are fine.
- Disrupt the experience for other users (denial-of-service, abuse, etc.).
4. Content license
All puzzle text, code snippets, postmortems, and explanatory content on Bugdle are © Bugdle and its contributors unless otherwise noted. You may quote excerpts for educational and review purposes with attribution. You may not republish the puzzle catalog wholesale without permission.
The site's source code is published under the MIT License. See the GitHub repository for full terms.
5. Disclaimer of warranty
BUGDLE IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. The puzzles are designed to teach code-review intuition, not to be a substitute for professional security review or static analysis. Don't ship code because Bugdle approved it.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bugdle and its contributors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site, including but not limited to lost streaks, lost time, lost sleep over an off-by-one error, or any other intangible loss.
7. Third-party services
Bugdle is hosted on Vercel and may load fonts, analytics, and advertising scripts from third parties. Their respective terms govern your interaction with their services. The current list of third parties Bugdle integrates with — and what each of them does with the request data they receive — is in our Privacy Policy.
8. Advertising
When advertising is enabled, ads on Bugdle are served by Google AdSense. Bugdle does not endorse, control, or take responsibility for the content of any individual ad. Where personalized ads are shown to a visitor it is because that visitor (or, depending on jurisdiction, their region's lawful-basis presumption) has consented; the consent decision is configured through the banner described in our Privacy Policy and can be revisited at any time. If you encounter an advertisement that violates Google advertising policies, please report it via Google's Ad Issue Reporter or email hello@bugdle.dev with the URL where you saw the ad.
9. Copyright & intellectual property
Bugdle is an independent, original work. The puzzle catalog, postmortems, hub-page commentary, and game engine are written by the operator and contributors specifically for this site. Bugdle is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any other puzzle publisher, daily-game brand, or game studio. The once-per-day rhythm and shareable result grid are common mechanics in the daily-puzzle category and are used here in the generic, non-derivative sense.
If you believe content on Bugdle infringes a copyright you own, email hello@bugdle.dev with the subject "DMCA notice" and include the URL of the allegedly infringing content, the URL or description of the original work, your contact information, and a good-faith statement of belief that the use is unauthorized. We will investigate and remove material that we determine, after reasonable review, to be infringing.
10. Modifications
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Bugdle (in whole or in part) at any time without notice. We may also update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved in courts of competent jurisdiction in that location.
12. Contact
